Do You Have A Bucket List?

Bucket list, sounds very macabre doesn’t it? Ever wonder about the origins of the phrase? When someone has "kicked the bucket" it refers to someone passing away. The general belief is that the saying comes from the kicking away of the stool or bucket that a sentenced individual would stand on. Can you guess now what a bucket list is?

A bucket list is a self-made list of goals you want to meet, dreams to fulfill, experiences you would like to have or places you want to visit, all before you die. Still sounds morbid when you first think about it but then once you start the list it can be very freeing to see the list written down. What is even more satisfying is starting to check off items on the list.

Do you have a bucket list? If you don't, why not start one now? It's free & won't take long to jot down a few items now & add to it any time you want. Start the list with the one thing you would do if time or money was not important. Maybe one item for your heart, your mind, your soul, your body or possibly something for someone else?

Is there someone you want to see, something you have always wanted to tell someone, an event you want to experience with a special someone?

What have you always wanted to learn but have put it off or thought maybe you were too old now? Maybe a new language or a new skill?

Is there a milestone coming up that you don't want to miss?

How about an experience you never thought you'd be able to do? Hang gliding, a balloon ride, sky diving, scuba diving, horseback riding?

Would you like to challenge yourself? Maybe go after that degree you never finished or learn a new skill?

How about travel? Are there any destinations that speaks to you? Some place that you have always wanted to visit but haven't yet. A culture you would like to experience?

It's your list, this is something you do for yourself! Write it down, add to it & start experiencing life, no more excuses!
